  • Thanks Pam, so glad it brought happiness.Enjoy Your Day!
  • Michelle Zindorf uses the brayer to layer on color to make sky, water, land and a combination of those.  She has tutorials on her blog.  I took a class from her and I would recommend it to anyone!  (I am a new demonstrator and have been making cards for approx. 1 year.  If I can do it...)  Thank you!  Have a great day!

  • I just invited you to be my friend, I send the link to all the people on my friend list. Here is the link to this week's SCFC challenge. Sorry for the late reply, been running around all day.

  • The ministry we do now is outreach. I asked our mission board to provide money as it adds up quickly when you all donate. We get $500 per year and spend all of that. The first year we spent more. We (the church) pays for all consumables and we share our stamps, punches, etc. We have 3 "arms" to our ministry. Once a month we go to the local Boys & Girls Club with a pre-designed card and "kits" we have created and have them make a card to give to whomever they want. On every card we have placed a label on the back with our church, a message & a scripture. We are doing the same at an assisted living for rhe second "arm." The third "arm" is that we make cards to sell at church and give all the money to a particular mission. In 2 years we have donated $3,500 money to various missions - in the community and abroad! God has truly blessed our ministry. The cards we sell also have a label with our church info, a message and a scripture. If you have questions or would like more details, let me know. Blessings to you in your venture!
  • I started a group in Iowa about 10 years ago and they are still doing it. Then we moved to Arkansas 5 years ago and I started another one. I was MUCH smarter the second time around. The first one was inreach- cards for our shut-ins and holiday cards for our college students. They all really appreciated them. Also we did cards for confirmands and graduates in the congregation. Those of us in the group provided supplies. We learned it was best to have a pre-designed card. We took turns designing the cards and worked out a calendar of which cards to make each month. You have to work WAY ahead and have someone willing to address and send them. For example, we worked on Thanksgiving cards in September. I will make another comment for the one we do now.
