  • I know isn't it great??? :o) I'm trying really hard to be patient in getting my sale-a-bration sets so I can see the retiring list first...I received two sets for Stampin Start..so hopefully I can hold out til June 1st! :o) We'll see!
  • You're so welcome! Hopefully it will spark some conversations for you when people see it :) And I'm sure you had a great workshop!
  • One is a great start though! And happened at the perfect time! Did you get promoted then? Lyssa may have mentioned that but i was so surprised by being #2..i spaced out for a few minutes! :o)
  • I met Lyssa at her garage sale!!! She was selling some retired stuff for a benefit I think Juvenile Diabetes-anyway she was giving away last years catalogs for free and I grabbed one cuz I love CASEing...and she gave me the current one for free..which was so unbelievable to me since all the other demos I had treated them like gold! I eventually went to her SU website and ordered and then got hooked on her blog.... :o)

I think that is so awesome that you won! How many recruits do you have total? I have two potentials right now one is the friend who is attending everything...I've talked to her a couple of times..she is a scentsy demonstrator right now and then another friend and lifelong stamper who just came home from Iraq..she's only been home 3 weeks and needs to get her feet on the ground.
  • Like Jenna...it's actually short for Jennifer (but even at 37 I refuse to answer to that name!) I am planning to come in April. What did you have to do to acheive the workshop? What an incredible opportunity!
  • Thanks so much Karen! Coming from you that means so much! Even though we haven't met yet, I have heard alot about you as well. :o) I have been really blessed (and lucky) that I have a handful of supportive friends who are just promoting me like crazy! I have one friend (who I hadn't seen in 2 years) who was the hostess for my first workshop and is signed up for every single event I have going on including two monthly clubs...AND she brings friends to everything! My boyfriend has been so incredibly supportive, I have two workshops in April scheduled for women I haven't even met yet because he has been handing my card out at his work. I really hope I can keep this up! :o)
  • it is TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!! :)

i'm so so so excited! i'm pretty sure i have almost all 20 spots filled, so that's awesome, and a huge weight off my shoulders. i'm pretty much ready, just have some furniture to move on the day, to accomodate such a big group. i have a goal for my sales - i'm striving to get 15 of the 20 to place an order, and i already know at least 5 are placing $65 SAB orders! so, i'm happy with that.

i have a goal to get at least 2 bookings too, and talking to kellene, she said that shelli's goal is the same, and want sto get us all a couple of bookings as well.
ok, i have to cut this post off, because my computer is being WEIRD, and i can't tell what i'm typing - if it looks weird, soory! LOL i will send you a link to my blog after i've done my post with pictures and stuff! :)
  • sadly Cheesecloth, Aida and Canvas are retired. I'm still in deep mourning -- I loved those textured bg's! I also really miss Houndstooth, Print Pattern and Weathered. You could make anything look distressed if you overstamped with Weathered!
  • 'm glad that you liked my card!

I layered Certainly Celery, Rose Red, Shimmery White and a sheet from the Holiday Treasures ds. I used Patty Bennet's watercolor roses technique for the roses. To add more depth to the roses, I sponged the outer edges with Rose Red and a little Close to Cocoa, as well as overstamped with Cheesecloth in Sahara Sand. The leaves were sponged with Always Artichoke and overstamped with Canvas in AA.

Patty Bennett has a great video tutorial for doing the watercolor roses, go here to see it: http://pattystamps.com/pattys_stamping_spot/2009/04/watercolor-rose...

    Hope this helps!
