If Stampin' Up has any more "catalog premiere" events, hopefully we can catch up there and get a chance to chat. :)
Hi Michelle,
I'm on Stampin' Connection quite a bit, and I'm not quite sure how I managed to miss your friend request....from almost a year ago. I'm sooooooo embarrassed! So sorry about that! Hope all is well with you. I'm really loving the new Occasions catalog. So much fun stuff!!!
I don't expect to get to SLC this year, unless my mother is up for a road trip and my hubby up for taking care of himself for a few days.
I have a brief case that I have a "working folder" for each family (5 folders one for each of my grandparents and one for Skeeter's family), so I can tell what information I already have when working. There are copies of family trees sheets and the family group sheets. I also spend a lot of time on FamilySearch.org so that I am prepared to pull the microfilm I need and don't spend all my time with the catalog.
The first thing I do is simply sign on and use their Ancestry. com filling in my ancestor's names. I have never used any paid sites, except in libraries where they already did the paying.
Thanks, Michelle. That would be great! I get in on Tuesday - not sure what time though. I still need to make my flight arrangements, but will let you know as soon as I get a flight booked. Also...what are the costs at the Shilo and how far is it from the Convention centre? Is it the one across the street? I remember one from last year across from the end of the Convention Centre - but can't remember which one it was!!
Thanks for getting back to me and offering to "share your space"!! Will talk to you later...Brenda
wow, thanks for showing me that gate fold wedding invitation. I was hoping they could fit in a regular 5x7 envelope, but I have yet to try anything. I hope I can make it as nice as they deserve. Probably in over my head! ;) I made my wedding invitations but nothing fancy. Just printed on nice printer paper. Way before I learned about Stampin Up or anything like it. :)
Yep, I think I have the relative of your evil voice camped out in MY head! :D
Are you going to be at convention Wed. night so we can meet up before the kick=-off party starts? Looking forward to chatting with everybody from our chat thread as much as I am looking forward to convention! Hope to see you there!
HI Michelle! I just saw your MDS layout of your parents - it is soooo sweet! It's awesome that your mom can still help you do some of the crafting for your swaps!
Next week my youngest is having her tonsils removed, so I will have to go stay with her for a few days. (she lives 7 hours way). I'll have to take some swap stuff with me so I can get some general stuff done to take to convention! Right now I'm going NUTS trying to get my organized swaps completed! I seem to overextend myself every year, but I guess I like being under pressure.... LOL
Looking forward to seeing your MDS pages! :) you are soooo blessed to still have both your parents! I lost my mom four years ago, and still miss her like crazy. She was my crafting buddy! :)
Did you take any of the MDS classes? I took the beginners, and the Friday night one. Hoping to learn more about suing that program, as it sure is fun to play with! I know from everyone's samples that I have a LOT to learn yet! :)
Thanks for your kind comment, Michelle. I'm happy to have you as a friend.
