  • Hi Lynn! Thanks for your congratulations on becoming a 2012 Rising Star! I was so excited to have a chance to got to the home office and be treated like a queen!  They really went all out for us all and it couldn't have been more fun! And I was so excited to meet Shirley on the plane ride home!  What a great lady. And it was so nice that, when I began talking about Stampin' Up!, her eyes lit up and, not only did she know SU but she told me all about you and your classes and fundraisers and such!  That, and she, really made my trip complete!  And, from what I've seen above, your work is definitely worth talking about!  Beautiful!!   Thanks for looking me up and I do hope we have a chance to meet face-to-face sometime soon!

  • Lynn, sorry if I'm late to answer, but I've been busy and usually can only get on here at night (at work i can only see the text and no pictures)... anyway. You can color rhinestones with a sharpie marker, I even color the pearls.

I was told you can use SU markers but some times you have to coat with crystal effects. I'm too lazy for all that, so sharpie markers works great for me. I bought a pack of about 10 colors so I'm good to go. hugs.

  • Hi Lynn, I got the steel in 12x12steel sheet at Lowes. it was already cut, and even better the edges were not sharp(it was almost like they were die cut)!  It was under $6, It was on an end section, there was aluminum and steel...some were decorative(they reminded me of radiator covers..Here is the exact UPC code (I think if the clerk has it they can plug in # and it will give them aisle location,at least mine was that helpful ;)) 0 43374 56032 9.  Tag said type:28GA finish:galvanized.   So cool you could decorate both side so it can be hung all year long :))  Good Luck~Kris

  • Hi Lynn,

I used 2 large scallops circle and 4 scallop circles, and I large flower. I sprayed them with water, then crumbled, and then used a combo of shimmer paint/alcohol. Finally I place and fluff and use the mat pack to place my brad. Hope it helps!

  • Lynn, You are so welcome. It is my pleasure to share. That is why we are here! Have a great week :>
  • Hi Lynn, I don't really know what the name of the card is. But here's how you do it. 12 x 12 piece of CS cut at 5 1/4". Put the bottom corner in the cutting track and the top corner on the same side at 2 1/2". Cut a diagonal piece. I scalloped mine with the border punch before scoring the card at 4" on each end. Thank for asking. I will send you a friend request.
