  About the Sevice people overseas - My husband has done several things - for folks he knew were over - we did a cookie contest along with the cards - the troops were the judge. He put up a $25 gift certificate to the winning baker - and did we get a lot of cookies! They were judged on 3 qualities - taste, condition when they arrived, and most suited to use as ammo. Our group's favorite was a type that had coffee in the recipe - said they helped them stay awake! Father-in-law winters in West Palm Beach - ALWAYS teases us about the temperature - especially when it's in the single digits here in Massachusetts.

  Yes, it is nice to see people and be able to have conversation. I follow From the Hearts blog and so nice to see all the cards you send to the military.I am spending the winter in Florida and have not been able to send cards. I have made some and will send again in spring. I'm trying to get enough together to send a large box.You must spend many hours co-ordinating every thing before sending the cards. It's great to see all the people who contribute the cards and am sure they are appreciated.
