  • Hey girl--ya made a boo boo! I just got a package of swaps from you--and unless I am seriously missing something, I have no swaps going on right now. Let me know where you want me to send it or if I should just send it back to you.
  • Hi Virginia!

I wanted to answer your question on how I made the clouds on my card 'Lovely As a Tree'. I used a punch out from the Scalloped circle punch. Place the scalloped circle punch on an area of your card and dauber around it in a light circular motion with an inked sponge dauber. Don't go all the way around the circle- it will give you more realistic clouds. Also, stagger the height of the clouds and don't do too many as you will want the white space. Repeat for as many clouds as you would like to have on your background. You will want to leave the white space between the bottoms and the tops of your clouds. In the white space, sponge dauber on in a circular motion (DO NOT use the scalloped circle template for this part) the other colors you want to use. Start very lightly as you can always add more color if you need it. You will basically be filling in the 'underside' of your clouds. I have found that using more than three colors is too distracting, so two or three colors is best. If you would like a little more information and more samples of skies I have done please see my blog at these links:
