  • Thanks for the sweet comment on my card!
  • Susan, I am adding something as I made an error in my last post to you...I said all the way around the circle you cut a slit but I meant only on the bottom half of the circle under where you cut the horizontal slit. I hope this makes sense. If not just ask me. Connie
  • Hi Susan, I was reading some of the posts on SU and I noticed you were trying to figure out how to get the candy out wo messing up the card (I assume you mean from the treat cups?) Anyway, I know this is an old comment and no help to the workshop you held that weekend but I read somewhere about a way to do this and will give it to you in the hopes you can use it some other time if no one else told you this. I position the treat cup on a piece of cardstock that will ben be placed on another piece of cardstock so it likes like it is matted. On the back of the mat piece of cardstock I trace very lightly the treat cup where it will be positioned at. Then I take my exacto knife and cut a slit the length of the circle horizontally across at the midline or a little above. Then all the way around the circle I cut a little slit about every 1/4" or so. I take a small piece of ribbin about 2-3" long and put a little bit on adhesive on one end about 1/2" long. Then I adhere that to the inside of the bottom half of the circle where you put the slits. Leave the other end hanging out of the back. After you adhere the ribbon to the inside of the treat cup then you cut the ribbon that is sticking out so it does not show from the front. That way they just need to pull the ribbon down and the bottom half of the circle will open and the candy will come out, you push that piece back into place and the card stays intact. I read this someplace (just want to let you know that as I can't take credit for the idea but it sure works). Hope this helps you for future work shops.Connie
