The SS sample box question would probably be a good question for the entire board (as in Stampin' Discuss) or for a call to DS since SU is the one who printed the article and indicated they had provided all the info in the magazine.
That said...I'm happy to take a shot at answering it - here's the closest I can come to an answer for you. Bev Adams created a wonderful chart that shows quite a number of box sizes not shown on the punch board as well as those on the box board itself. The closest she has to the SU measurements (and we all know that measurements are in the eye of the beholder right?) is a 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 x 2-1/2 (same as on the board itself). SU has what they call directions on the demo board here - http://www.stampinup.com/us/enu/26417_26431.asp these are found under the Publications tab then Stampin' Success then May link then online extras. Always a good section to check whenever a new magazine comes out. Since SU referenced the board itself I assume they think we will use the closest board measurements and not the ones they gave. :D
