    Hi Judy - thanks so much for your email. Running the flashing for the tea lights didn't hurt my big shot at all. If you're still uncomfortable though, might you consider using pop tin? Just use a can opener to remove the top and of the can - or whatever works for you - and use the inside of the pop tin as your "metal". It is thinner but still works. I've done both.
