Holly, I experience the same thing with extracting the blocks from the foam. However, I discovered that if I first lift up the edge of the foam at the top near the handle, they pop out easily.

Its so cool to see a picture! I need to get one up but didnt have any on my work computer so I will have to find one at home that I am willing to put up instead of the flowers (since we HAD to put up a pic to get in?!)
