Hi Dorian,
I know how things in your personal life can effect your business and your optimism. I joined SU in August 2010, September was diagnosed with a blood disorder that has to be treated with chemo drugs and then the end of October was permanently laid off from my FT job.
It's been hard to keep an optimistic attitude with all of this, can't spend the money I want to build my business but I am doing it slowly. Today I had a workshop close and it was over $400 so that helped to boost my morale.
Hang in there. I see new Hobby Lobby stores opening all the time (follow them on Twitter) so I figure someone is spending money on crafts, we might as well ask them (the customers) for our share of it and try to create things they want to craft. I have been trying to think outside the box, doing projects other than cards and scrapbooking to use our products on and am finding that is creating new interest.
Good luck with your business and I'll say a pray for your personal items to be resolved.
