Hi Cindy! I am really loving my storage squares, but because I haven't had too much of a chance to work in my room lately, when I went to measure the actual usable space of each square for you, I just discovered that I can get two of the old style punches into one slot! I am thrilled about that! (They have to be turned on their side, but that works for me.) Okay, so the actual measurements of the outside of the big square is: 14 1/4" x 7 1/4" x 14 1/4, Assembly Required. Each inside square (which you cannot adjust due to the way it is built) is: 4 1/4 inches for width and height. And the usable depth is 6 5/8 inches. I know people use shoe bags for their punches, but I sorta share this room with my husband for his fax machine, etc, and he is NOT a fan of those door hanging shoe bags. He was actually impressed with how well these turned out and how they look. Like I said in my post, I got these at Michael's. They are made by Recollections and they cost $35 for each unit.
